Chapter 38

Brody blushed, and he cleared his throat. “So, you’ve met my mum.”

Finn nodded, and pulled out of the car park. “She wanted to thank me.”

“You don’t have to wear it.”

“I want to. It’s to protect me, apparently.”

“Don’t take the mick.” Brody hissed.

“I’m not. Besides she said it brings out the color of my eyes.”

Brody parted his lips, but no words followed. Finn didn’t think Brody could flush any harder, but he was corrected when Brody’s whole face changed to the shade of a tomato.

“Said I was handsome.”

Brody gulped, and rubbed at his burning cheeks.

Finn laughed. “She didn’t really say any of that.”

Brody waited a beat, then slapped Finn’s thigh. There was no aggression to the hit, and Finn smirked.

“You’re an idiot, you know.”

Finn nodded. “Yeah, I can be. Where am I taking you then? The supermarket, or the beach I showed you.”

Brody shrugged. “Dunno, you decide.”

“Nope.”

“What do you mean no?”

“I mean I’m not making the decision for you.”
