He got up, circling round to the tables, placed his empty can with the rest of the rubbish and helped himself to a couple of sausages and another beer. A feast fit for a king these days. He sauntered further into the darkness, glancing at those he did talk to on a regular basis. He focused on Skit.

The man’s darting eyes and dipped head suggested embarrassment as two of the women set about teasing him. The man was often incredibly shy around the opposite sex, which led to harmless joking, and, in some cases, serious flirting. Skit’s reaction to this created a never-ending circle of behaviour only likely to cease if he found the right woman.
