Chapter 4

“Are we close to the restaurant? My stomach seems to be sending me some signals.”

“Yup, I hear it speaking loud and clear. Don’t worry, we’re here.”

I looked out the window expecting to see a restaurant, but instead we were at another house that looked a little like Frank’s, except this one was a bit smaller and a different color. It was getting dark, which meant the Christmas lights would begin to twinkle. Yet the heat didn’t let up one bit.

“Hey, I thought you were gonna let me take you out for dinner?”

“You did say it’s my choice, and this is what I chose. You can’t get food better than this. Besides, you said you wanted the whole Posada experience, and the parties are part of it. Maybe you could take your camera in and talk to a few people about their experience. You know, get some local perspective.”

“Don’t the parties happen after?”

“We throw one the night before the procession. But anyways, before, after, it doesn’t matter. There’s never a bad time for a party.”
