He wandered into the kitchen, snagged a bottle of water from the fridge, and sat at the table where colored pencils were laid out in a neat row next to his sketch pad. Might as well do something useful to advance the case. He began a sketch of the accomplice who had run from Rafael’s house. He’d deliver it to the police and have them try to identify the man. No matter what personal conflicts Grant had about the whole situation, he still had to find those children. That’s where his focus needed to be.
