Chapter 10

After putting on a pair of worn jeans he stopped long enough to flick on the TV as he went to the kitchen to pour some coffee. He came back to the living room just in time to hear a reporter say there had been another of what the news people had dubbed ‘The Heartless Murders’. Cup in hand he stood in front of the TV to watch.

Hell, I was right there last evening.So was he,was his next thought when he saw a man he recognized in the background behind the police officer the reporter was interviewing. It took him a moment to realize the man in question was also a cop. “Damned good thing I didn’t come on to him,” he told himself with a chuckle. “I’d be sitting in jail for solicitation right now.”
