“You look like you should be home in bed,” Joseph observed as Hollis dropped down in the seat across from him.

Hollis shrugged. “I need to eat and unwind a bit first. It’s been a hell of a long day.”

“I heard the killer you’re after struck again.” Joseph shook his head. “I suspect the clubs are going to be emptier than usual until you catch him.”

“One could only hope but…” Hollis shrugged a shoulder as he picked up the menu.

After they ordered and had drinks in front of them, Joseph asked, “How are you going to catch him?”

Hollis shook his head. “If I knew that he’d already be in jail. He’s clever enough that he doesn’t leave any traces behind. The joys of too many television programs about criminal investigation, the perps know how to cover their trail.”

“You could always send some men in undercover at some of the clubs.”
