“I wasn’t planning on our spending the night holding hands. We spread out and keep our eyes open. You know the regulars I’m sure, which means you’ve undoubtedly seen our man without knowing it was him. I know the signs to look for. We go to the clubs and…” Hollis frowned.

“And dance. That’s the easiest explanation for our being together on and off. Too bad he doesn’t use just one club as his hunting ground, it would make it easier.”

“We don’t actually know that he doesn’t. But if he does we don’t know which one.” Hollis had a thought and asked, “Did you see the pictures in the paper yesterday?”

“Pictures?”

“Of the victims. I’d say you didn’t from your question.” Hollis picked up the case file and thumbed through it for the page he wanted. Then he slid it over to Vanni. “Do you recognize any of these men?”
