Chapter 31

It wasn’t that he felt burdened by keeping secrets in general. His teammates hadn’t known about his sexual preferences or his shifting abilities in the twenty-one years he’d been in the US Navy. Since even retired SEALs were bound by oath not to reveal details about their operations, keeping secrets was ingrained. What bothered him now was hiding his werewolf from a man he respected and was growing to love. Maybe because of his Indian connection to the earth and its animals, Logan would accept the supernatural part of Blaze. Maybe he would be horrified by it.

Looking at this man who so entranced him, he convinced himself that since his teammates hadn’t known he was gay or a shifter for over twenty years, Logan need never know he was a werewolf. He would keep that from him. Because of the pull of the forest when the moon was full, it was likely he’d have to leave Yellowstone. Living in Encinitas, near or with Logan, and away from the siren call of the woods, he would do just fine.
