Clearing her throat, Brynn nodded. “Yes. I’m sorry you had to hear all that. It’s been a while since I’ve had them.” Her cheeks blazed when she met Nikki’s eyes. “Thank you for helping me back to bed.”


Nikki’s eyebrows furrowed. “You don’t need to apologize for something you have no control over.” She took Brynn’s hands into her own, gaze soft. “I was happy to be whatever help I could be.” Brynn wanted so badly to kiss those pouty lips. “Do you want to watch a movie? I’ve got quite the collection of mindless DVDs,” Nikki digressed, causing Brynn to giggle.
