The boys wanted to take their uncle into town, so Felix took them all an hour later, and I had the house to myself. Not once did Felix kiss me or wish me good morning. He seemed to take it all for granted, and it made me…mad.
After cleaning the kitchen, I decided I would spend my day catching up on shows. I was so far behind, it wasn’t funny. By noon, I was still by myself, so I put on my thick wool jacket and took a walk in the fields near the house. It had become partly cloudy and I could smell snow. It would probably start to fall overnight. It wouldn’t be very heavy, but there’d likely be a bit of fog as well.
