“How attached are you to your apartment?”
Kyle’s confusion was written all over his face. “Uh, it’s just an apartment. There’s no sentimental value whatsoever. Why?”
“Move in with me.”
Kyle’s eyes widened, obviously astounded. “Here? At the embassy?”
“Yeah. I also want you to be my guest in Oswington. Spend a month or even a year in the palace with me. I’ll show you around the country whenever my schedule permits.”
Kyle rose up a little and stared at Clement. “You’re serious?”
Clement beamed at Kyle. “Yeah.”
Kyle remained quiet for a brief moment. “But my things at the apartment—”
“You can put away anything you want to keep in the storage here at the embassy. Bring your clothes and any other personal items you need with you to Oswington. Donate everything else to charity.”
Kyle scooted impossibly closer to Clement. “Aren’t we moving too fast?”
Clement shook his head. “I’m not asking you to marry me. I simply want you to be by my side as often as possible.”
