Chapter 15

“Mating season?” Jonah asked.

TJ mentally tossed out a few cuss words. Jonah could track a butterfly on scent alone.

A tiny grin flirted with Jonah’s lips. “Saw the polar leave. He’s got your engine revved.”

TJ sighed. “You’re not helping.” He’d known Jonah since he’d moved to Forgotten. Understood him. While quiet and mostly serious, Jonah had a wicked streak. Like any man, he enjoyed needling other guys, especially the shifters.

Jonah hooked his thumbs in his front pockets. “This could be interesting.”

“No, it’s not.” TJ tried to shut him down, knowing Jonah’s perception went nearly as deep as his curiosity. Must be a cat thing.He recalled the incident on his property and opted to change the subject. “Had a visit from a hunter the other day.”

“Oh?” Jonah’s amusement fled as a serious tone covered his face. “Do I need to dispose of the evidence?”
