TJ glanced down at where they touched, swallowed, then lifted his gaze. “I’m a grouchy ass old bear. A beast. Why would you want to be around me?”
Donovan smiled.
TJ rolled his eyes. “Sex aside.”
“That’s easy. You’re no more of a beast than I am. We’re shifters. It’s part of who and what we are.” He shrugged. “So, you get a bit temperamental at times. Join the club, big guy. We all have our breaking points.”
“I’m a loner,” TJ protested.
“I don’t think so. If you truly were, you’d be a hermit. I don’t think you can really be like that the way you care for your patients.”
