Chapter 10

Spyros was aware of footsteps behind him, but he paid it no attention. It was more than likely someone trying to get home. Spyros wasn’t interested in turning around to look; the snow was starting to pick up with the wind, and it was behind him. Spyros didn’t want to turn around and get a face full of biting cold snow. He simply quickened his steps, putting his backpack further up on his shoulder.

He was walking past the Palace Hotel when Spyros was knocked into from behind. Caught off-guard, he was knocked onto the ground, sprawling in the snow. A heavy weight landed on top of him. Before Spyros could get his senses back, an arm went around his neck. Then it began to squeeze.
