“Yeah.”

“I’m glad to hear that,” said Tirzah. “We are all happy to have you here. We do hope you’ll soon regain your memory. Still, it doesn’t change our joy. Do you know where you’re going to stay?” she asked Callum, but her eyes turned to Ainsley.

“Uh, I’m not sure, I guess…”

Ainsley quickly took over, knowing his mother’s question was directed at him. “You’re going to stay with me, Callum. Don’t worry about it.”

“Thank you,” Callum murmured.

Callum looked at him, gratitude in his eyes, and somehow that made the guilt already in Ainsley’s heart increase.

“Don’t mention it,” he mumbled. Callum wouldn’t be that grateful if he knew what had happened, though it was for his own good.

“That’s settled, then,” said Tirzah. “Now, why don’t you finish your breakfast?” She smiled.

That hungry, awestruck look returned to Callum as he eyed the spread on the table. “There’s no way I’m going to finish them all. Have you all eaten?”
