“It’s not, actually. It might be illegal.” Sam collected his thoughts for a second. “Why would you do something like that?”
Dinesh moistened his lips. “I felt bad. I wanted to see you happy.” He slouched in his seat. “You were so much happier when you and Jordan were together, and you seemed pretty miserable now that you’d split up. I figured if you could be with someone like him, you’d be happy again. So, I put a profile up. I didn’t quite understand you’d broken up because he was a long-term guy. I didn’t realize there was any hostility to the split at all.”
“There wasn’t.” Sam drew his eyebrows together. “Why?”
Dinesh sighed. “You should talk to him.” He passed Sam his phone, wordlessly.
