Beau grabbed Vin’s wandering hand before it slid underneath the elastic waistband of his pajama bottoms and completely distracted Beau out of his goals. Again. “Then you need to take me seriously.”


“I do take you seriously,” Vin said. “It’s this whole notion of middle-class work ethic that I don’t take seriously. You. Do not need. To work.”


“Saying it like I’m three years old does worldsto prove how seriously you’re taking me,” Beau snapped. “I’m not going to leech off you for the rest of my life. That’s absurd.”
