After Jojo shut off the video link, Paul, their middle school son walked in, and Janeth and Erwin followed. “Thanks for picking him up. Headed to church?”
Erwin nodded. “Yes, vigil mass for All Saints. You’re not coming are you?”
Jojo shook his head. Paul had a rubber ball in his hands and started bouncing it on the wood floor. “I’ve got my hands full. Adam’s warming up soup for Claudia, and then he’s making dinner. Are you joining us for dinner later?”
“Sure,” Janeth said. “How’s Leap?” Janeth coo-cooed around Junior and tried to take him off Jojo’s hands but Junior refused to budge.
“His fever’s gone. But now he’s itching for one of us to take him to Universal Studios. He’s pouting in the TV room if you want to check on him. He can try to make you feel guilty that I’m a mean parent.”
“Girlfriend?” Erwin asked. “Is she going?”
“Yes.” Jojo laughed. “We definitely have a teenager on our hands.”
