“You’re right, sweetie.” Adam kissed Claudia’s dark brown hair. “I guess Paul’s not coming down anytime soon,” Adam sighed.


“I can do the dishes.” Claudia stood up and brought her empty soup bowl to the sink.


“Sweetie you’re not tall enough yet. And using a stool for this deep sink is not good.”


Jojo moved closer to Adam while Junior tried to grab one of the pots that were over the butcher’s block, and whispered. “Hey babe, let her do it.”


“Paul should be helping. And you know her depth perception and all.”


“It’ll be fine.” Jojo said, touching Adam’s arm.


Leap appeared in the kitchen. “When’s dinner?”


“Dad’s going to be making it soon, but Tita Janeth, and Tito Erwin are joining us so can you wait an hour or so?”


“Fine, as long as I can snack on potato chips or something.” Leap pulled out a chair, and plopped himself down, his long legs stretched out. “I know you don’t like us snacking before dinner.”
