Diving In

“God, you two look good together. Hi, Wade. You look wonderful.”


Wade smiled again, and as I stepped back, he held out a hand to Preston. Preston took it, letting Wade pull him into a hug as well. When Wade kissed Preston’s cheek, I just about melted into a puddle. Because I knew exactly what Preston saw when he’d looked at Wade holding me.


“Hey! I want a kiss, too!” I rose up on tiptoe and turned my cheek toward Wade, tapping it impatiently. Wade’s deep chuckle was its own reward and his lips were soft and warm as they made contact with my skin. I sighed dramatically and fluttered my lashes, cupping my cheek.


They both laughed, which was what I wanted. I bounced happily, then shooed them toward the door. “Let’s go to dinner.”


Once outside, I took Wade’s right hand in my left, and Preston’s left in my right. On impulse, I kissed the back of their hands, then tugged on Wade’s. “Where are you taking us?”
