Diving In

“My husband kicked me because he knew I was going to ask you what your legal name is, and he doesn’t want me to push.”


Preston sighed and grabbed Wade’s hand. Immediately, Wade laced his fingers with Preston’s. I swooned a little at the sight. I loved that he was becoming easier with us, more confident. It wouldn’t take long before he was completely comfortable.


Preston leaned closer to Wade. “I want you to get to know us, and us you. But there doesn’t have to be a rush, and Sawyer can show a little patience while we all get comfortable with each other.”


“I’m not exactly patient. It’s my one and only downfall.”


Preston snorted a laugh, and I gave them a cheeky wink. Though I was telling the absolutely truth. Lack of patience was my biggest problem. Especially when I knew what I wanted.


“Not gonna get scared.” Wade reached out, and Preston hesitated for only a second before he clasped the man’s hand. “Be yourselves. Please.”
