I chewed on my lower lip. “They’ve got this long, shared history. Years of memories I have no knowledge of.”
“I get why that worries you.”
“Yeah.”
“Have you done it before? Been in a relationship with two people at once, I mean.”
“Yeah. It wasn’t serious. They were married, too, and I was just the third guy in bed on a regular basis. I didn’t want more.”
“But now you do? Now it’s serious?”
I threw my arm over my eyes. “I’m pretty sure it could turn serious pretty quickly.”
“Is that what you want?”
With a sigh and a nod, I straightened. “Having a front-row seat to Liam falling in love with Austin made me realize I’m kinda lonely.”
He hummed an affirmative sound and got something faraway in his eyes I couldn’t read. “What is it about the two of them that got you all hot and bothered?”
“Have you seenthem?”
“Yeah, yeah.” He chuckled. “But if that was all you cared about, you’d be in Cabin Four right now, screwing like rabbits. Not being here with me, moping.”
