“Oh?” He didn’t take his eyes off the dogs. “You haven’t been for a while, right?”
“Nope.”
“Did you have a good time?”
Memories of a barefoot walk on the beach, soft eager lips against mine, and two hard bodies begging for my touch flashed before my inner eye. “Very.” I sighed.
“Second-date material?”
“And third.”
“So, what’s with the sigh?”
“It’s…complicated.”
He chuckled. “Isn’t it always?”
“True.”
The wind picked up, making the boat rock a little. Neptune jumped on the sofa next to Drew and promptly fell asleep with his head on Drew’s thigh. Greg couldn’t decide whether to stay with the nice guest and be petted or hang out with his daddy.
“So, who’s the lucky fella?” Drew asked after a couple minutes of silence. “Anyone I know?”
“Yeah, you know them. Sort of.”
“Them? As in more than one, or as in non-binary?”
“As in ‘more than one.’”
