Chapter 73

Once I’m sitting in the driver’s seat, I take out the map and study it. Again, great—Galway is on the opposite side of the country to Dublin. I have to drive almost the entire width of Ireland. Alone. In a car that doesn’t have the steering wheel where it’s supposed to be, on roads where I will see cars coming toward me on the wrong side. This has to be love.

Okay, just getting out of the exit is traumatic. I’m driving on the right to turn right, while I have to drive left to take the left turn. I don’t think I’ll survive this.

Distance Dublin—Galway: 207 km. I should convert that into miles, because I have no idea how far that is, but it doesn’t seem to be a huge number. Unless the conversion is unlike the one for Fahrenheit to Celsius, then that will be a problem.
