Chapter 57

“With someone, one day, yeah.”

“That’s…” Dean stopped. Well, of course, Jay did. Why wouldn’t he? Most people thought in those terms. Dean…he thought of his own future in the vaguest sense. He’d settle down one day. Probably. No vision of his future included a man in it.

The room lacked size for a good bout of pacing so Dean fought the urge. “So what happens now?” He didn’t like to ask, but the question existed as a living breathing entity. A weight took residence in his chest. In his gut. What if Jay told him to leave? So what if he did? The idea shouldn’t bother him.

What if Jay asked him to stay? Begged him to stay? Wanted…more? Those ideas worried him also. April was right. He was an arse-wipe. Must be. How could he not know his own mind?

Had he screwed Jay because it was possible, exactly as Jay accused? Had to have. Hadn’t expected to like it so much.

It’s just sex.
