Chapter 53

This is not good, Jason thinks and immediately heads toward the conch- ad sand-covered pathway between the two beach properties. Dillonhas strayed. He’s over at the neighboring acreage, buck naked and having the sexual time of his life. Dillon’s probably being trained right at this very minute by three of the hot men, maybe even four, drunk, numb, and with ass hanging out for every Thom, Dick, and Harry to use over there. No doubt. It’s over between us. We’re done. He’s moved on.

Jason stops at the edge of the pathway and thick mangrove. Bird sounds are blocked by the country music, seeping out of the jungle. He shakes his head. “Dillon’s not a cheater. He wouldn’t do that to me. He wouldn’t do that to us. Our relationship is strong. We’re meant to be married. We’re supposedto be husbands. Get a hold of yourself, Jason. Pull it together. Stop this mind game you’re playing.”
