As if on cue, Marco said, “Leave these dishes. I’ll put them in the dishwasher later. We got so carried away last night that I didn’t show you the house.

“The kitchen is small, but just big enough for two or maybe three. We had many great Sunday breakfasts here, my dad making pancakes and my mom doing the eggs. Sometimes we used fresh jam that she had made instead of syrup on the pancakes.

The living room goes across the whole front of the house, so it’s bigger. And it opens to the sunporch, letting in a lot of light. I love sitting out here or on the porch when it’s warm enough.

The dining room is pretty small, but it works for me because I seldom entertain.”
