When PI Jake Marshall fails to stop the abduction and subsequent murder of a client who was being stalked, he vows to do everything in his power to identify the man responsible. Stalker

“Seems like. All two of them. Ogden’s on his way over. Mind if I make some coffee?”


“It’s made, or there’s beer,” Russ replied.


“No on the beer. I…we need clear heads.” Jake went into the kitchen, with Russ right behind him.


“If you think I’m going to hole up here…” Russ started to say.


“You will if it’s what Ogden wants,” Jake replied as he poured himself a cup of coffee. He refrained from adding, “Besides, I won’t let you leave.” He knew that would piss Russ off and maybe push him to do something stupid.


“I’m no good as bait if Fabian can’t get to me.”


“Tell that to Ogden,” Jake said just as they heard the buzzer.


Russ went to answer, asking who was there. When the reply was, “Detective Ogden,” Russ started to push the button to unlock the lobby door. Jake stopped him, telling him he’d go down to let the detective in. “To be on the safe side.”
