Not that he regretted his decision. Absolutely not. Beckett was so happy to be back that, even when the issues threatened to bury him, he was still thrilled to be where he was. And things were looking up now Jordan had come into the picture.

Beckett drained his cup, let out a satisfied sigh, and set it aside. It was the worst possible time for his machinery to break down, but he was fortunate he’d found someone who could handle the repairs andtake care of the sorely needed maintenance. At least things were up and running and Beck could make progress on the harvest.

A small part of him wished he could have met Jordan Hart under different circumstances—out at a club or a bar, in a restaurant, a bookstore…something—where they could have struck up a conversation and Beckett could openly flirt with the gorgeous man. Find out if Jordan was interested. Maybe hook up, or date even. But that was out of the question now.
