“Of course. His was the most brilliant mind of his generation.”

Hank looked proud.

“He should have written many more, but shortly after that book was published, he and his family were lost in a boating accident.”

“A boating accident? Hal was an excellent sailor. I taught him myself.”

Uel raised his hands in a helpless gesture. “This is what the books of the day stated. He rented a boat and set sail to the island they called Bermuda.”

“Into the Bermuda Triangle?”

I expected Hank to be devastated, but he just looked thoughtful. “You said you have a digital copy of my son’s book?”

“Yes. He dedicated it to you. Come. I’ll show you our copy.”

“That was thoughtful of Hal,” Nick murmured. We’d all had the chance to read the boy’s words.
