Gymnast Frank Bethune arrives on campus already enamored with the star tight end, Bill Billingsly. Although the chances of them meeting are slim, fate draws them together, and their friendship turns to love.<br><br>Ever since childhood, Bill has dreamed of playing professional football. Though high risk to his potential career, Bill would seek out clandestine encounters with other guys when and where he could, but the first time he spots Frank, Bill knows he is someone special, someone he could possibly share a life with. If he’s drafted, will Bill and Frank be able to continue their closeted relationship, running the risk of discovery? Or will they have to part company for the sake of Bill living out his dream?<br><br>Bill knows he’ll need to use all his considerable skills learned on the field to score the life he wants off of it, too. Love or the NFL

One afternoon at gymnastics practice, the coach announced that one of the members of the all-around team had been injured. That meant the alternate was moved up. Said alternate was Dennis Stahlworth.


Dennis being on the all-around squad put Frank in closer contact with the man, and he found this a bit disconcerting. He knew of the guy’s relationship with Bill, and although Bill had told Frank it was never more than casual and now over, Frank couldn’t help but remember the night he’d seen them together.


He worried Dennis had something on Bill. Bill had told Frank Dennis was also in the closet, and he felt he could trust Dennis not to out him. Frank, however, couldn’t quite let go of the threat Dennis posed. For the present, since Dennis was unaware of Bill’s interest in Frank, Frank’s interactions with Dennis were perfectly normal. Frank did keep a close eye on him and listened to his conversations just in case.
