“Now that’s interesting,” Buck said when the first result was a small piece of a map, obviously from a map site, with a marker on it. “Click on it to see if it takes you to the source map.”
Mika did, and ended up on the map site’s page. He scrolled to widen the area, after hitting the ‘satellite view’ button, until they had a good visual of mountains with a couple of towns showing at what they estimated was several miles from the marker.
Mika looked at Buck, asking, “Are you thinking what I am.”
“That there might be a mine there, or at least a place where your great-grandfather thought there was the possibility of finding gold or silver?”
Mika nodded. “So maybe we weren’t too far off base to start with. All this has to do with the location of a vein, or veins of…gold? But why didn’t he, Ian, mine it?”
