As quickly as Noel came into Wyatt’s arms, he’s gone again, back to the seat beside Wyatt
“I’m sorry. I should have asked first. That’s just, it’s really kind, and I can’t remember the last time someone was this kind to me,” Noel says, and his voice sounds thick.
Wyatt thinks he knows why, and he reaches out blindly, using his other senses to find Noel’s face. Wyatt touches Noel’s cheek gently, and as he suspected, he finds the skin wet with tears.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you cry,” Wyatt says, and he lets his fingers linger on Noel’s cheek.
“It’s not your fault. You haven’t upset me. I’m just a little emotional. It’s been a crazy night. Getting attacked, finding out vampires are real and now your kindness, it’s overwhelming,” Noel says, a tear tracking down past Wyatt’s fingers.
