“And I fought the bastards off. I’m not sure where you got this idea that I’m some kind of hothouse plant.” Cameron stood up and walked over to the refrigerator. There wasn’t anything in there that would be useful to him, but he looked in there anyway. It got him away from Jason. “I fought them off and I got you back to the house. I banished them and all you can do is sit there and think of little issues to bitch about.” He shook his head. “It’s a good thing you’re leaving soon.”
“And I can’t wait.” Jason turned to look at Reid. “So. I found some heads in the backyard.”
“Well that makes sense, since the farm was a kind of plague hospital.” Cameron slammed the fridge door shut.
Reid flinched. Cameron wasn’t sure if Reid was flinching at the noise or the fighting. “You’ve had a busy day.”
