Chapter 21

“Lilly said you just started a job at the University of Colorado, I can’t ask you to leave there.”

“You can ask anything of me you want. I’ll do whatever it takes if it means a future with you.” Dwayne kissed Shay again.

As they held each other, Shay thought of his life back in Boston. He liked living there, and liked his job. But it was just a job, not a career. It really made no difference where he lived or worked. What better way to show Dwayne his love than to let Dwayne’s career be the determiner of where they located. “I’ve always wanted to live out west. I’ve got a bit of cowboy in me, you know.”

“Really?”

“Yep, pardner! Yippee I oh Ki yay!”

Dwayne laughed, rolled Shay over on his back, and straddled him, showering him with kisses. He then guided Shay back inside, saying, “I’m gonna give you your first ridin’ lesson, cowboy.”10
