He found the bandages with little effort. His hand hurt, and blood soaked into his jacket, sleeves, and the front of his shirt. With a little maneuvering, he managed to clean the wound in a sink before wrapping it in gauze. It looked pretty bad. They might go to an emergency room later, but in a different state. He hoped to avoid bleeding to death in the interim.
With the gauze firmly taped down, Dakota began cleaning up the house. Any sign of the couple needed to be erased. So, he poured bleach all over the sink and the floor—any place where blood dropped. Then, he took a hose outside and sprayed water where Terrell got sick. More bleach covered this spot, as well, just in case. Finally, he wiped down all the door knobs and any surfaces they touched. No fingerprints. No DNA.
