Chapter 10

“Your school reunion?” Shannon arched an eyebrow. “You never mentioned anything about it.”

“That’s because I wasn’t going to go.” Karl scowled. “Too many bad memories.”

“Any of your former classmates capable of doing this?”

“I doubt it, but I wouldn’t be surprised. Zafar was known for messing around. He couldn’t stay monogamous. Perhaps one of the girls snapped after being used and messed around.”

Shannon sighed. They watched as the body bag was zipped up and Zafar was picked up and placed on the gurney.

“Someone had a lot of anger towards him to do that.” Shannon commented. “But if it was a woman, it would explain why he was tied up. While he wouldn’t have hit a woman, she couldn’t have him overpower her.”

“Sounds like a fair assumption.” Karl couldn’t look away as the gurney was pulled away into the darkness. “Jesus, Shannon. I never thought I’d see him again. And certainly not like this.”

“Can you focus, Karl, or do I need to call someone else in for this?”
