I guess my quick connection with Javi had Patrick worried. He didn’t know that I had already decided that the best thing to do was to keep my distance from Javi so I wouldn’t make things awkward. Not only for Patrick’s sake, but for my own as well. I had liked hanging out with Brian, and couldn’t take the thought of losing someone else in my life that I had grown close to. So I’d made up my mind that we were to be roommates and nothing more.
