Chapter 47

The last time Lyle had felt that much tension in the air, he’d been staring past the man he thought he loved and into the eyes of his father. He’d been debating what it would cost him to take his father down, and whether he had the balls to try it. The entire space had been charged with the electricity that roiled between them. This time, however, there was no pretty, confused man between Lyle and the other source of energy. This time it was just a fraying, dirty drape. Yet Lyle was sure that drape was no less of a barrier than Randy had been when Randy had stood between his lover and his lover’s son.
