In hindsight, his ass is not the best thing for me to have in my face. If I slow down and put some distance between us, he’ll probably just stop walking. While the stairs are wide enough that I could brush past him if I wanted to, the fact I insisted he go first only to run on by would seem kind of weird. Maybe a lot of weird. And I am notweird. I am an intelligent business owner, a calm person, and a reasonable adult. An adult who would be a big old liar if I say that I have no interest in leaning forward and biting into one of his polyester covered, perfectly shaped, well-toned cheeks. I lower my gaze to the stairs and wait to be hit by some angry god’s bolt of lightning. Like God would be paying any attention. Like he ever has.
