Emmett frowned and looked around him. He heard Andrewe’s voice but the prince was nowhere to be seen. Emmett stared at the final guard in confusion and the guard flicked his eyes up and to the left without moving his head. Emmett followed the direction and shook his head at the form sitting three stories up, one leg dangling from the ledge on which he sat, the other out of sight inside the window. Sunlight lit his hair as if a halo placed by God, and he wore nothing more than a pair of breeches.

“Your Highness,” Emmett nodded. “Shall it be my first duty to drag you to safety and ensure you are clothed before you let yourself be seen?”
