“Enjoy the festivities, gentlemen,” Thomas said brightly, tipping his hat first to Emmett and then to Aleyn, before spinning on his heel and walking away.

Emmett was still staring down the street when he felt Aleyn’s tug on his jacket. “Who was that, Emmett? What did he want?”

Aleyn paused and looked up. “Why did he kiss you?”

“Because he’s crazy,” Emmett said, turning Aleyn back to the show. “Here now, you’ll miss the fun parts.”11

Emmett reached up and grabbed Andrewe’s still naked hips and held them to his own. “Blue,” he confirmed. “Just like your eyes.”

The mattress moved below him as Andrewe shifted into kneeling and dropped both elbows beside Emmett’s head. “Funny,” Andrewe said, “that’s why I was thinking of the green. So I could be reminded of your eyes all night.”
