Whoosh. The gym doors slid open and Kellan walked in by himself. He turned and looked at me sternly.
“Don’t look at me like that. When you said you wanted to get all hot and sweaty, I thought you meant something completely different,” I said. Kellan just kept looking at me, so I took a deep breath and walked in. It had been awhile since I had even attempted to go to a gym. I looked around and couldn’t believe my eyes. The bodies may have been owned by different people, but there was still a mix of what you normally see: gym rats and muscle heads going hard on the weights, chubbier people trying to hide themselves on a corner cardio machine, and everyone else in between.
I used to know where I fit, but now I wasn’t so sure. Kellan put his arms around me and began to rub my shoulders.
“Relax, you’re here with me. There’s no need to try and impress anyone else, since I already think you’re great.”
