“I’m not getting into this with you right now. This is not the time or the place.” Kellan’s cheeks were turning bright red. It was the first time I had seen him like that.

“Why, because you found yourself a new plaything? I guess you decided to go for something desperate.”

Though I was a bit confused about what was going on, I felt that I had to act.

“Look, I have no idea what went on between you two, and I don’t care. Whatever he did to hurt you, if he did anything at all, that’s over and done with. It doesn’t have anything to do with me, and I would appreciate it if you decided to act your age and accept it.”

Adrian looked as if he wanted to respond, but instead scoffed and walked off.

“Greg, I’m so sorry, it’s just that…”

I cut Kellan off before he could continue. “Look, don’t worry about it. I shouldn’t have assumed that you’d never been with other guys before, and you didn’t really need to tell me. It’s not a big deal.”
