“Hold on, I’m passing you to the expert.” I put the phone down and transferred him to Laverne.


“Laverne, I am passing…” I didn’t even get to finish my sentence.


“I’m on it,” Laverne cackled from her desk. I was happy for Kellan, I really was. But deep down, I knew that it would be a week before I saw him again. Even though seven days isn’t that long, my heart still stung quite a bit.


On the last night during her visit, I decided to go out to the movies. Bobby wasn’t available, and I was sure as hell not going to call Tim, so I figured I would go alone. As I stood in line for my usual popcorn, soda, and pickle, I heard a familiar voice beside me.
