“Or not,” Eddie said, clearly amused after the minutes had dragged on in silence.
“You know what you mean to me,” Kaeva said.
“I think I do.”
“You know I don’t want you to…go.”
“…Yeah.”
Kaeva chewed the inside of his cheek until he figured out the words. “Is that enough?”
“You are enough.”
Relief welled in Kaeva. “Okay.”
“I’m not.”
And the relief vanished. “What do you mean?”
