The uniformed officer scrambled.

Lennon whirled on Ben. “You want to know what’s unreasonable? That man—that man—treating me like a delicate fucking flower too dimwitted to run the company that Rada and I built with our bare hands from the kitchen table in that shitty apartment that you and I used to share. That is unreasonable. I want him out, and I want him gone, and I will not rest until he is back in whatever DC hellhole spawned him.”

Ben shook his head. “Someone definitely needs to sit down with him and have a word about how to treat people on a job, but Len I’m sure that his intentions were good. Come on. Let’s just—”

Rada walked in the door. “What the hell is going on here?” She pointed out the door. “Why is half of Cambridge PD blocking traffic?”

“Because our now-former CSO called them, apparently, but didn’t feel compelled to call the CEO or COO.” A vein throbbed at Lennon’s temple. “He’s gone, Rada. He’s out.”
