Ben didn’t like that. Ben wanted Lennon to rest, to take it easy. “You’re never going to heal if you don’t lighten your load a little,” he insisted, and tried to take the laptop away.

“I can’t do that. I can’t be idle. I haven’t been idle since I was a toddler, and I don’t think I was idle then.” He couldn’t be mad about the demand. It showed affection and concern, at least. “Ben, if I let them force me to stop working, then they’ve kind of done their job, haven’t they?”

Ben grumbled, and he pouted. He prowled around the apartment looking for boogeymen in the fridge, too, but Lennon got his way.
