“Yeah, that option doesn’t exactly take the whole keep-the-business-running thing into account, but you know—details, right?” Lennon snorted. “So since this is absolutely happening, how do we do it as safely as possible?”

Ben glowered at both Lennon and Rada for a full minute before leaning forward and getting to work. “Okay. I’m going to advocate for taking three vehicles, all identical. Bannerman won’t know which one you’re in, which will go a long way toward keeping you safe on the road. You said you trust the staff at the Plaza.”

“I do. They host dignitaries and even presidents.” Lennon kept his face neutral. He didn’t want to rub his victory in.

“Okay. I’m going to have to talk to them, obviously, but we’ll go with that. While you’re there, I’m going to be stuck to your side like glue. It’ll be downright creepy. If you thought you were going to pick someone up or reconnect with an old flame, think again.”

Lennon met Ben’s eye. “Seriously?”
