Chapter 31

Change the subject, Mason told himself. Change the fucking subject. “You’ve been with a lot of men?”

Jack answered with a laugh and a sideways glance.

“So, out of curiosity,” Mason shifted in the loveseat to look at Jack directly, “if you could do anything with another man what would it be? What’s your preference?”

“Sexually or generally?”

“Either.” Mason paused, thought. “Both.”

“Honestly?”

“Yes,” Mason nodded emphatically. “Completely honest.”

Jack shook his head, his face softening into a grin. “You’ll think it’s pretty boring.”

“I won’t.”

“You will.” He stopped to catch Mason’s eyes with his own. “But that’s okay. I won’t mind.” He slid closer, until both their knees touched. “My favourite non-sex thing to do with another guy is this. Just sitting around not doing anything but hanging with each other. Talking. Eating. Not having to worry about what you look like or if you’re coming across the right way. Taking off the slut mask, so to speak.”
